SotoLive was created by James Fowler in 2009 as a home for all things Sotogrande. Prior to launch in May 2009, SotoLive had been on the drawing board for a number of years. First conceived in 2005 as SotograndeFood.com, the idea initially took the form of a restaurant review site, but the opportunity for expaniding the vision quickly became apparent and SotograndeFood was taken off line, with the next four years spent developing the concept.
Sotogrande is Spain’s premiere resort only a short distance from Marbella. Located in the southern most point of the Costa del Sol, it is ideally situated in an area of natural beauty and, thanks to its Mediterranean climate, it is warm all year round. On these natural foundations Sotogrande also boasts some of the finest sporting facilities in the world, regularly hosting international tournaments in golf and polo such as Santa Maria Polo Club.
