Positive Lives is a unique international project that photographs and documents the social and emotional impact of the global HIV & AIDS epidemic, illuminating positive human responses to this world crisis.
As a collection of over one thousand images and text, Positive Lives focuses on personal stories of those at the heart of the HIV & AIDS epidemic.
Photography is a powerful, universal language that crosses all cultures and social differences and reaches the heart and spirit. With or without text, viewers can bring their own experiences to the images and engage with them - and in turn, use the images to begin telling and sharing their own stories.
Since its beginnings in the UK in 1993, the exhibition has portrayed the tremendous courage of people living with HIV & AIDS, and those who care for them, from different communities around the world.
