Club Internacional Marbella

Club Internacional Marbella is one of the longest established, cosmopolitan clubs on Costa del Sol and one of the most prestigious opinion forums in Spain.

The Club's President and Founder, Mr. Ricardo Bocanegra is one of the most successful and prominent lawyers, as well as the President and Founder of the Federation of Foreigners Associations of the Costa del Sol (FAECOSOL), through which he has obtained o great deal of achievements in favour of foreign residents.

Mr. Bocanegra was awarded the title of “Honorary Foreigner” by the Institute of Foreign Owners of Alicante for his many years of work looking after the interests of foreigners in Spain. Furthermore, Britain's former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, sent him a letter of gratitude and congratulations for his defence of the interests of British nationals in Spain.

Mr. Bocanegra is deeply involved in Marbella´s social and business life and a member of the ClT. Executive Board and the Secretary of Marbella's Gastronomic Academy.

Marbella International Club welcomed some of the famous personalities such as politicians Jose Maria Aznar and his wife Ana Botella, Cristina Almeida, Santiago Carrillo, writers Camilo Jose Cela and Manuel Alcantara, Severo Ochoa, Fernando Campo and Luis Vazquez Alfarache. Though the talks are in Spanish, President Ricardo Bocanegra welcomes foreigner residents to join this cosmopolitan, "International", independent and liberal Club.
